About Alicia

Alicia Newton is a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC).     

Alicia received her Bachelor of Music Education in K-12 band and vocal music with a double major in Music Therapy from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA in 2003. She completed her music therapy board examination in 2004 after a 7 month internship at Fraser School, Richfield, MN. Since then, she has been teaching music and practicing music therapy. She started TLC Music in 2005.

 

Alicia loves watching children grow through music and seeing their enjoyment and fulfillment. She keeps classes upbeat, educational, and fun! In her spare time, she enjoys being outside in nature, traveling, baking, singing in a choir, and spending time with family. Becoming a mom to two active children has been her biggest blessing, and has changed her and her husbands lives tremendously!
